Devesh Dange

Advocate B.Com, LL.M. (Swansea University, UK)

Devesh has previously worked in the UK for more than 3 years attending to various types of claims including Cargo, Marine Liabilities, Hull and Machinery and Aviation. He independently handled multi-jurisdiction claims and assisted solicitors in court proceedings. Devesh advises on cargo claims, arrest and release of vessels and arbitration matters. Additionally, he advices IG Group clubs and foreign law firms regarding the legal queries.

Having enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, Devesh handles litigation and represents clients before the High Court of Bombay and City Civil Court.

Devesh has done LL.B. from Savitribai Phule Pune University’s Modern Law College and an LL.M. in Maritime Laws from Bangor University and International Commercial Laws from Swansea University in the UK. He is proficient in English, Hindi and Marathi.

Sanika Kulkarni

Additionally, she has attended to cargo claims, vessel collisions, the arrest/release of vessels and obtaining security in an Indian arbitration. Having enrolled with the Bar Council of Maharashtra and Goa, she has been consistently representing various clients in different courts across India, as well as before the Commissioner for Workmen’s Compensation.

Vaibhav Shinde

Joji Jacob

Joji has over 25 years’ experience with various leading international shipping lines and is specialized in handling diverse cargo, port, and customs claims. He provides clients with a focused and pragmatic approach. He attends litigation before various courts and in quasi-judicial matters. He also currently deals with crew claim matters.

He played a key role in successfully defending cargo claims arising out of the shipping incident involving the vessel, “MOL Comfort”. He has a rich experience in successfully handling matters concerning customs, DRI and other central investigative agencies. He has successfully attended to a customs matter involving penalty in several million dollars which got 100% waived off in favour of the Shipping Line he represented, which indicates his ability to successfully attend to such cases.

Kaushin Khan

Kaushin handles various crew claims. She advises on cargo claims, arrest and release of vessels and obtaining security for foreign arbitrations in India.

She has done B.A. LL.B. from Rajasthan University, India and an LL.M. in Shipping Law from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Additionally, she was a part of the Law School Global League Program at the Dickson Poon School of Law, King's College London, UK. She is proficient in English, Hindi, and Urdu languages.

Abhijeet Desai

Abhijeet has over 10 years’ experience of working with various leading International Shipping Lines and is currently handing diverse claims related to Maritime and International Commercial law. He provides clients with a focused and pragmatic approach. Abhijeet’s core focus lies in Admiralty and Maritime Law, where he represents a diverse clientele including ship owners, charterers, cargo interests, and their insurers. Amogh Dabholkar

Amogh graduated with B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) from the University of Mumbai in the year 2021. He has also completed his LL.M. in International Shipping Law from the prestigious Queen Mary University of London in the year 2022 to 2023 wherein he attained an overall ‘Merit’ grade and also achieved ‘Distinction’ grades in Admiralty Law.

He has gained experience in dealing extensively with Cargo Recovery Claims, Charterparty disputes, Wet Shipping disputes, Marine Insurance, Admiralty and Commercial laws.
